I believe self-awareness is the key to creating a life you enjoy living.
When you’re upset, have you ever noticed that the feelings you’re having—anger, sadness, stress—seem to take over your entire body and mind? I use somatic (AKA body-focused) therapy methods, like EMDR and Brainspotting, to help you regain control of these kinds of reactions. Basically, they help you become aware of how emotions impact the physical sensations in your body—like when you have a lump in your throat or a knot in your stomach. These evidence-based techniques help your body realize you’re not in danger, so it can relax and you can get back in the driver’s seat of your actions.
Whatever challenges you’re currently facing, I want to empower you to connect to your strengths, communicate your needs, and act in the best interests of yourself and your relationships. Through the work we’ll do together, you’ll gain clarity and be able to decide how you want your future to look.

As a Latina, I understand the stigma many cultures have around therapy. But I’m here to tell you that keeping your feelings a secret doesn’t make you stronger—it makes you lonely. We’ve all had experiences and relationships that have changed us, we all find different ways to cope with our feelings, and we all deserve to be listened to without judgment.
