THERAPY FOR WOMEN IN-PERSON IN LONG BEACH & ONLINE ACROSS CALIFORNIA + Nevada
Break the cycles you’re stuck in & embody your best self.
The struggles you’re facing—at work, in your relationship, and with your family—have left you feeling lost & alone.
You’ve been carrying the weight of responsibility on your shoulders for a long time, but right now it feels like it’s too much to bear. The demands of caring for your extended family have left you with no time or energy to take care of yourself, let alone enjoy your life. This stress is compounded by having to balance work or motherhood as well, and at the end of the day you feel burnt out, yet unable to fully relax. Maybe you’re also going through a breakup, infidelity in your relationship, or are unsure whether to stay with your partner, and are now questioning your worth. You’ve given so much of yourself to others, only to be left with this heavy combination of anger, sadness, and anxiety.
You’re hesitant to share all this with friends because you don’t want to be a burden. Plus, talking about it feels wrong, especially if you’ve been drinking or thinking about suicide because you just want the pain to stop. But despite not saying anything, others have noticed—they’ve commented on how irritable or angry you seem, or have caught you crying (which you’ve been doing a lot lately).
It’s completely normal and okay to feel this way. Together, we can rediscover who you really are and find a path forward.
Maybe you wish you didn’t care so much about what other people think of you, and that you had more control over your emotions. The past seems to follow you everywhere you go, and remembering parts of it has the potential to ruin your whole day. Though you want your life to feel different, you’re also scared of change, because at least the pain you’re in feels familiar.

My approach
Helping you learn to trust & care for yourself.
In our sessions, you have a place where you do not have to be anything other than yourself. Here, you can give yourself permission to feel sadness, anger, regret, and any other emotions that come up, and I’ll be beside you as you navigate these feelings. Together, we'll also explore the grief you're experiencing—both for the future you might’ve imagined for yourself and the parts of your past that you miss.
We'll talk about the different “parts” of you affected by what you’re going through. By understanding your feelings more deeply, we can uncover similar moments from your past where these emotions surfaced. This helps us see the larger patterns in your life—and being aware of these patterns is the first step toward breaking them.
Over time, we'll discuss and practice ways you can communicate more confidently and make space for your needs.
Self-care will be a big part of our conversations, too. We'll look at how taking care of your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being can improve your self-esteem. Throughout our work, we'll challenge any negative ideas you might have internalized about yourself, and you’ll begin to see yourself in a more positive light by realizing that you are worthy of love and compassion.
We’ll be a good fit if you want to…
Have closer, more balanced relationships in your life
Stop feeling so stressed, anxious, and burnt out
Be heard and have your needs met more often
Move forward from bad memories or feelings from the past
Learn about who you are and align with your best interests
Together, we’ll acknowledge and accept the story of your past so that you can write your own future.

I often use somatic (aka body-focused) methods like EMDR and Brainspotting. These methods, combined with other modalities like CBT and Parts Work, help you learn to identify emotions by how they feel in your body. You can learn more about somatic therapy and my approach on my About page.

People pleasing is when you prioritize others' needs and approval over your own. You might say "yes" to things you don't really want to do or avoid conflict at all costs to keep everyone happy. While it can feel good to help others, over time, it can lead to feeling drained and resentful. We can explore how this shows up in your relationships and how this coping mechanism developed.
